By accessing the Site or purchasing any product from us, you agree to the following terms.

1. Products

We sell digital ebooks and related digital resources (collectively, "Products"). All Products are digital and delivered by email only. We do not sell or ship any physical goods.

2. License to Use

When you purchase a Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that Product for your own personal or business use. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, share, or republish any Product, in whole or in part

  • Upload any Product to a public file-sharing site or forum

  • Claim authorship of any Product

  • Use any Product for any unlawful purpose

All Products remain the intellectual property of The Work Backward and are protected by copyright law.

3. Pricing and Payment

Prices for Products are listed on the Site in SGD. Payment is processed securely through Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay as express checkout options. We do not directly collect or store your card details — Stripe handles this in accordance with its own security standards and privacy policy.

4. Delivery

Products are delivered entirely by email. Upon successful payment, you will automatically receive an email from noreply@theworkbackward.com containing a download link for your Product, typically within a few minutes. No physical delivery is involved. In any case if you did not receive your purchase, please contact us at team@theworkbackward.com.

5. Refund Policy

Because our Products are digital and delivered instantly upon payment, all sales are final and non-refundable once the download link has been successfully delivered. If you did not receive your Product due to a technical error on our end, contact us at team@theworkbackward.com and we will resend it or issue a refund at our discretion.

6. Disclaimer

Our Products are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Results from applying any strategies described in our Products will vary and are not guaranteed. You are solely responsible for how you use the information provided.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Work Backward shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our Products or the Site.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and Product content, is the property of The Work Backward unless otherwise stated, and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation

  • Transmit any harmful or malicious code

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information, in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act ("PDPA").

1. Information We Collect

When you visit the Site or purchase a Product, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name and email address, provided at checkout or when you subscribe to our mailing list

  • Payment information: processed entirely by our payment processor, Stripe (including Apple Pay and Google Pay for express checkout). We do not directly collect or store your card details.

  • Usage data: general information such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, typically collected automatically via cookies or analytics tools (see Section 4)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver the Product(s) you purchased, sent via automated email from noreply@theworkbackward.com

  • Send you order confirmations and respond to customer support requests

  • Send marketing emails, only if you have opted in, with an unsubscribe option in every email

  • Improve the Site and our Products

  • Comply with legal obligations under Singapore law

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, which may process your data on our behalf:

  • Payment processing: Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay as express checkout options. Card and payment details are handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy and security policies; we never see or store your full card number.

  • Email delivery: sent from our own domain (noreply@theworkbackward.com), with website and email infrastructure hosted through Hostinger.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

4. Cookies

The Site may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to improve your browsing experience and understand how visitors use the Site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some Site functionality.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share information with the service providers listed in Section 3, to the extent necessary for them to perform their services for us.

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data

  • Withdraw consent for us to collect, use, or disclose your personal data (e.g. unsubscribing from marketing emails)

  • Request that we stop using your data for marketing purposes at any time

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, consistent with the PDPA's data protection obligations. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
